In this activity, students are told that there is a zombie apocalypse going on and they need to map their escape route to one of the three safe camps. They will need to use their survival skills and geographical skills to determine what states, cities, features etc. are safest to pass through. They will use various thematic, political and physical maps to plan their route. On the back, they will provide the coordinates for each pit stop and an explanation as to why they chose to stop there.
