Description

A step by step, scaffolded approach for teaching your students how to write a four-paragraph comparison and contrast essay.

There is a writing model from which students complete a graphic organizer to guide them in deconstructing the model essay. This process helps students to intuit the structure of a comparison & contrast essay.

There are graphic organizers for compare & contrast words and phrases, research,Venn Diagram, introduction and conclusion.

There is also an editing symbol guide and a "works cited" guide.

It draws special attention to a six-step writing process; research, draft, share, edit, revise and publish. There are check boxes for monitoring students' progress through the writing process.

The workbook is printed on loose leaf notebook style paper. This is useful if you live overseas and have trouble locating the loose leaf style notebook paper found in North America.

Two versions of certain pages are provided to account for alternative US/UK spelling.

Revised and Updated Sep 2015.
