Description
A step by step, scaffolded approach to teaching your students how to write a five-paragraph descriptive essay about an animal.
There is a writing model from which students complete a graphic organizer to guide them in deconstructing the model essay. This process helps students to intuit the structure of a biography.
There are graphic organizers for research, introduction and conclusion.
There is an editing symbol guide and a "works cited" guide.
It draws special attention to a six-step writing process; research, draft, share, edit, revise and publish. There are check boxes for monitoring students' progress through the writing process.
The workbook is printed on loose leaf notebook style paper. This is useful if you live overseas and have trouble locating the loose leaf style notebook paper found in North America.
Revised and Updated January 2015.
