This PowerPoint/notes activity will encourage students to observe examples of strong and weak thesis statements. They will gather information that will lead them to conclusions about the characteristics of both strong and weak thesis statements. They will eventually be able to craft their own thesis. Notes sheet is also included, for the students to keep a running list of ideas about strong and weak theses.
