*Text to Self Writing Craftivity - In this backpack inspired craftivity, Students will make text to self connections with a character of their choice!
*Inferring with Robbie Craftivity - Students will choose 2 excerpts from How to Be Cool in the Third Grade. Using their schema and text evidence, students will use thinking stems (“I infer.., I think..., etc). to infer how Robbie is feeling in each situation!
*Edit It! Write & Wipe Cards & recording sheet - Students will choose a numbered sentence card. Using a dry erase marker, students will make editing marks to fix punctuation, spelling, and capitalization errors.
*Back to School Shopping & recording sheet - Students will have a $50.00 budget for Back to School shopping! First, students will choose 3 item cards to “purchase.” Then, they will figure out the total amount of the items, and the change received.
*Unpacking Standard Form & recording sheet - Students will pick a lettered expanded form card. Then, they will find the matching backpack card with the number in standard form.
*Time to be Cool! & recording sheet - Students will chose a lettered card. They will read the situation and work to determine the different start, end, & elapsed times.
