Google Slides skills covered:

  • General: Layout of Google Slides & modes, undo and redo, copy and paste
  • Slides: creating new slides, deleting a slide, rearranging slides, duplicating slides
  • Text boxes: inserting, resizing, changing the color, border, border dashes and moving them
  • Text formatting: changing the size, font, color, bold/italics/underlining, highlighting, aligning within the text box, line spacing, bullet and numbered lists
  • Links: links to webpages, links to other slides in the presentation, using links, changing links, removing links
  • Images: inserting images from your computer, searching and inserting images from the web, resizing images, moving images
  • Shapes and lines: adding shapes, keeping proportions, modifying shapes, adding text to shapes, adding lines, angles of lines, adding arrows
  • Formatting objects: rearranging objects, grouping objects, rotating objects, centering objects, distributing objects
  • GIFs: inserting GIFs from webpages

Please note: You will need a Google Classroom set up for your students and each student will need their own device and an internet connection to use this resource. Drag and drop clipart cannot be extracted or used outside this activity. The video instructions are delivered via embedded YouTube videos (these are unlisted, i.e. cannot be found by search) - please ensure your district allows this and your students can access YouTube before completing your purchase.
