How to use Icebreakers and Team Building activities within your class

We all know how important icebreakers are in our teaching practice.
Starting a class with new students can be difficult. We don't know them, they don't know us and they don't even know each other in some cases!
How can we deal these blank faces?
A first class can be awkward if we don't know where to start, that's why icebreakers and team building activities are so useful!
