This is a Partners of 10 matching game. There are many ways you can pick to play this. There are 3 sets - red, blue, and yellow.
Option 1 - just print the red or the blue set and students can match the partners in the 1 set. There will only be 6 matches (12 cards)
Option 2 - print the red AND blue set. Students need to lay the red set face down on one side and the blue set face down on the other side. They will pick a red and a blue and try to match the partners between the 2 sets. There will be 12 matches if you do it this way (24 cards)
Option 3 - Print the yellow set for a self checking game. The matching partners have the same picture on the card. This way, students can check to see if they are right. You can print the yellow set twice if you want more cards to match, or print a set with a different color background.
Print the cards front to back. Make sure you hit "fit" when printing so it stays in the lines of the paper.
Great for a center or an independent activity.
This supplements Math Expressions Grade 1 Unit 1 very well.
