Original reviews of Mark Twain's Huck Finn with a worksheet asking students to analyze the reviews. I think most of the reviews are negative, which worked well, since the students were mostly negative about the novel. The cool part is that the reviews are negative for completely different reasons than those stated by students, so you get to discuss audience and historical context.
Very short reviews make this perfect as group work, maybe with each review (8 total) to a different group. Some are too short, possibly, but you can figure something out. It's still a great way to look at the novel from a different perspective.
