Your students will love making thumbprint treasure while practicing Spanish articulation words.
This activity was designed to be a no prep craft activity to target articulation in an engaging way. It is an activity that keeps students busy during practice! I designed this resource to go with pirate themes.
Spanish Phonemes included:
★Initial/medial: p, b, m, j(h), d, t, k, g, f, ch, ll, rr
★Initial/medial/final: n, s, l
Please note: There are 10 target pictures on each page (2 of each, totaling 20 pictures).
Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (yellow or gold recommended), and the thumbprint pages. I have also used bingo dotters with this activity (dot the student’s thumb with the dotter and then they can make a thumbprint on the page, works just as good as ink!). Tip: Use washable ink/paint and keep wet wipes near by!
Optional Assembly: You can also place in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough.
To use: The student will practice the target word and then make a thumbprint on the treasure chest over the target word in the oval. The therapist will determine the number or trials per word. There are blank ovals for the students to fill in between turns.
