March 4 is “Hug a G.I. Day”. G.I. is a term used to describe members of the U.S. Army. Soldiers and servicemen protect us day after day. On “Hug a G.I. Day”, encourage your students to thank a G.I. by writing special letters to any member of the U.S. Military who is serving at home or overseas. We want to make certain that our military members know how much we appreciate their courage and dedication.
Two different templates are included: one contains a male soldier, the other a female soldier. Simply print and have students write a “thank you” letter to a military member.
