This is a powerpoint presentation for Muscle and the Sliding Filament Theory. The presentation can be used with guided notes on Muscle & Sliding Filament Theory included in another product. I have found the Sliding Filament Theory to be a difficult concept for not only high school students but also college students. There is a link to a website that is a great resource that has helped me over the past few years in allowing students to get a visual that correlates with my lesson. I have also included some links to websites which contain pictures and illustrations which can be used as a supplement to the presentation. Many slides have notes for instructor on my thoughts on discussion topics for that slide in the presentation. Also are links to a YouTube video that I use in class on Bicep Tendon Rupture Repair. This is a graphic video but very interesting. I have my students use the Anatomy Coloring Book by Kapit and Elson for illustrations of the anatomy for each chapter. My teaching time is based on a 4x4 schedule and takes about a week. I am listing this for Higher Education as well due to students who I have had in the past who were dual enrolled at local community colleges.
