This is a powerpoint presentation for the Respiratory System. The presentation can be used with guided notes on Respiratory System included in another product. I have also included some links to websites which contain pictures and illustrations which can be used as a supplement to the presentation. Many slides have notes for instructor on my thoughts on discussion topics for that slide in the presentation. Also are links to YouTube videos that I use in class. One video shows a tracheostomy being performed and is graphic. Two videos are on the vocal cords. The Stoboscopy of the vocal cords is a frame by frame look at the motion of the vocal cords as they move to produce sound. The other video shows the removal of vocal nodules. The fourth video shows a bronchoscope that takes a flexible camera and moves it through the nose and down into the lungs. I have my students use the Anatomy Coloring Book by Kapit and Elson for illustrations of the anatomy for each chapter. My teaching time is based on a 4x4 schedule and takes a little over a week because of lung volume lab. I am listing this for Higher Education as well due to students who I have had in the past who were dual enrolled at local community colleges.
