Science worksheet on the Human Body Nervous System
This is a great anatomy and physiology worksheet to give to students to guide their reading, lecture/video note taking, or research of the human nervous system. Includes questions about the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system as well as application onto voluntary and involuntary actions, hearing, speech, and vision.
The second page goes more in depth into the hearing application of the nervous system. This page can be excluded if not part of your students' studies, but makes a great real-life example of a human nervous disorder.
I give both pages as a homework assignment to assess student comprehension as we near the end of the nervous system mini-unit. My students find it to be a good review for the quiz and test and many enjoy researching more about how the brain and cranial nerves are involved in hearing loss and how cochlear implants can correct nervous system (sensorineural) hearing loss
