The human body systems are always a favorite among students. This activity can be used to begin your unit, a station that students practice and/or review of your unit. I am an inquiry-based educator and this activity really supports student driven learning.
Students will explore each system and learn that "functions" drive the classification of organs and structures. By using the verbs students will break down what the function is for each system. They will then classify organs and other structures into their systems and match function to organs and structures. The teachers guide supports a variety of ways you can use the resources depending on your purpose for the activity. Additionally there is a quiz and answer key to assess what your students learned from the activities.
