Use this NGSS activity to get kids "playing" with their nervous systems and learning about how being distracted affects their reaction time. THE ONLY SUPPLIES YOU NEED ARE RULERS!
Following this worksheet, middle school students test their reaction time both in non-distracted and distracted conditions. They certainly have fun finding ways to "distract" each other! The student response sheets includes sections for an introduction, materials (ruler and timer or clock), hypothesis, procedure, data table, and some analysis questions.
