This file contains an activity that is great for using partners. It can be at any age level if you want to use it. It involves scooters and these types of activities generally give you a good leg workout. It can be used as a cooperative activity, individual, partnership, or small groups depending on how you want to set it up. It involves the following concepts or skills to be used: speed, quickness, foot-eye coordination, teamwork, cooperation, listening skills, communication, sportsmanship, and there are more as well. This activity involves teammates working together to reach a goal and that goal is collecting objects through the playing area. Modifications and rules can be adjusted depending on the age group to make the activity harder or easier on the scooters. The partnerships will work together in a collaborative effort to retrieve objects and the teacher will command the students exactly what to do after the skill is performed. This could be done with scooters or find a way to do it without scooters if your budget doesn’t allow it. Try this activity if you are looking for a new idea to keep the kids engaged, finding a new way to get them moving while sweating, and for them to just have fun. Enjoy!
