Students explore an endangered species in Boston. They discover how the species is experiencing habitat loss due to human impacts. Students apply knowledge of ecology and evolution to complete this mini project.
Students are asked to explain the phylogeny/evolutionary history of the species, it's scientific background, history of human impacts, and create future steps for saving the species.
2 readings and 4 graphs/images are provided as evidence.
Note: This is a Massachusetts specific species, but can be adapted for any organism in your area!
