Product Description

The basis for this project is to understand the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that the UN created in 1948. Each student will be assigned one of the 30 articles of the declaration (see article page). Students will research its meaning and determine how/what the United States does with that human right. Will also research one other country (students get to choose which other country to research) and find out how/what they do when it comes to human rights. Students will gain an understanding of how there is a difference between these guidelines (the UDHR) and the actual laws of the countries around the world. Students will demonstrate this by creating a poster and an essay.
