This assignment poses the "Big Question" of what is the worst form of human trafficking in the world. Assignment is perfect to engage students in slavery, trafficking, child labor, bonded labor, child soldiers, organ trafficking and other human trafficking violations in the world.
Students are challenged to research, develop and persuade their teacher, a United Nations Human Rights Council Representative, to address their plan to stop their form of trafficking. Self Organized Learning Environments (SOLE) poses a question to students and gives a specified time limit for research and presentation. This lesson is designed to be started and completed in one-two class periods and could be great for Current Events, Speech and Debate, Global/World Issues, and Modern World History.
