This game is used to measure student's knowledge of human and physical factors when discussing population and migration.
When considering why people move, looking at physical and human factors, students will be given examples of each and asked to move around the room. Here the teacher reads the statement and students move to the corner of the room that either says Human Factor or Physical Factor.
For example: Record high temperatures over the course of 5 years, cause people to move to cooler climates. Would this be a human or a physical factor? (At this time, students would move to one side of the room or the other - depending on which factor they think the example is). Play will continue when the next scenario is read, and students will move yet again.
This is a great warm-up activity, or refresher for review.
