This lesson is focuses on humanism and the changes in European thinking during the Renaissance.

Humanism Guided Notes:
The guided notes provide students with a strong foundation for understanding the origins of humanism. The notes are fill-in-the-blank and a key is included.
Humanism Tree Map:
The tree map requires students to identify five areas affected by humanism and the specific changes that occurred in those areas. A key is included.
Humanism: Before & After:
The three-column chart lists nine concepts that were affected by humanism. A short description of life in the Middle Ages (before humanism) is provided. The job of the students is to write a description for each concept during the Renaissance (after humanism). A key is included.
Humanism Exit Ticket:
The exit ticket requires students to focus on one area of study relating to humanism and indicate the changes that occurred.
An answer key is provided for the guided notes, tree map, and before & after chart.
