There always seems to be one student in group that brags about the special things they are given, the special places they go, how good they are at something and on and on. And it's always in a group that has a child whose family is struggling with their basic everyday needs. This game is designed to teach children the graceful art of being humble as well as addressing how to be happy for another, without being jealous.
Print and create an eight inch pie that has happy events that would make any child feel special. The kids use prompts to say how proud they are, without bragging. Then group members reply how happy they are for them.
Easy to do, but the message lasts long after you play the game! And when a child slips and brags, just remind them of the humble pie!
