This fun, interactive game is based off of the Hump Day commercial and the popular game Hedbanz.
Students place vocabulary term cards on their forehead (without looking at them) and try to figure out what term is on their head by asking their classmates questions. Be the first player to guess what you are and you win! All members of the group must be familiar with the term so that they can ask and answer questions about it.
It is best to play this game with vocabulary terms that students are either currently working with or have just finished learning about. Narrowing down the possible topics is a good idea, but not necessary. For example, you may want to only include terms that relate to weather, or the periodic table, or chemistry, etc...
For example: If students are given the topic of Chemistry and a student has "I am a proton" on their forehead, questions they may ask include:
"Am I found on the periodic table?" - no!
"Am I smaller than an element?" - yes!
"Am I smaller than an atom?" - yes!
"Am I more massive than an electron?" - yes!
"Do I have a neutral charge?" - no!
"Am I a proton?" - YES!
