This activity in homophones is a fun way for students to practice using homophones in a sentence. The theme is Humpty Dumpty on a wall and he falls off the wall revealing whether the answer is correct or not. Even though it has a funny Humpty Dumpty theme, the homophones are meant for upper primary or intermediate grades. It was just a fun way to show him fallling off the wall to reveal the answer. Homophones include: air/heir; pain/pain; duel/dual; deer/dear; choose/chews; browse/brows; bread/bred; heard/herd; dough/doe; beat/beet; haul/hall; base/bass; dew/due/do; heal/heel/he'll; cents/scents/sense; by/bye/buy. Each slide appears twice in this lesson so that students determine the meaning of each homophone. Great for introduction, practice, or review of homophones. Also easily used for teacher directed mini lesson, small group, or independent practice. All slides are self checking. Created with Smart Notebook 11.
