Top of worksheet provides a brief overview of roman numeral 'rules':
"Roman Numeral Symbols:
I=1 V=5 X=10 L=50 C=100
Roman Numeral Rules:
•When a symbol appears after a larger symbol it is added.
oFor example: VI= V+I = 5+1 = 6
•When a symbol appears before a larger symbol it is subtracted.
o For example: IX = X-I = 10-1 = 9
•Never use the same symbol more than three times in a row."
This worksheet is meant to be an extension once roman numerals have been taught to students.
