This game has your kids practice adding and subtracting on a 120 chart. It's a partner game requiring two dice, two game movers, and one game board per group. Both students start on the number 1. First player rolls the dice, adds the numbers on the dice together, and moves forward that number of spaces. Then the next player rolls.
Some numbers on the board are missing and have a lily pad or fly in their places. Landing on the lily pad allows the player to advance 10 extra spaces. However, landing on the fly means the player must move backwards 10 spaces. (Think the game Chutes and Ladders!) This helps your students see the patterns of adding and subtracting 10 on a hundreds chart.
The winner is the one that reaches 120 first.
