Your daily math meeting isn't complete until you've used the Hundreds Chart Quick Images Cards!
What are they and what do I do with them?
Use the hundreds chart quick image cards during your daily math meeting. Just like subitizing dot card patterns, students also need practice recognizing various numbers represented on a hundreds chart- get them thinking about how many complete rows they see (tens) and how many “Extras” they see (ones).
For a few moments during your math meeting, or perhaps while you’re waiting to transition into lunch or another subject, flash these images to students. Give them three seconds to look at the card, then turn it over. Have the students describe to you what they saw, and “how” they saw it.
Next, flip the card over to review and review the numbers of rows and “extras” that are shaded.
- Alternate uses to vary it up a bit, including center game ideas
- Hundreds chart quick flash cards, 1-100
These are great for ANY grade level- older grades, think of the hundreds chart at 1 and use these to identify decimals and percents!
