A fun activity and new twist on the boring character sketch and chapter summaries! NEWLY UPDATED to include the newer Facebook layout and timeline!
Students can choose a character from the novel and create a pretend Facebook profile, complete with chapter-by-chapter status updates. They have to find specific information about that character in order to fill out the profile information, yet it's such an engaging activity, they don't even realize they are learning. The status updates force them to summarize the chapter from a character's perspective. Even the most reluctant learners find this assignment fun. Included is a teacher's guide to a facebook page for Katniss Everdeen.
Even though this is designed to be used specifically with The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, I added a few generic pages at the end of the document so you could use it with other novels, as well.
UPDATED with templates in Microsoft Word AND Mac's Pages.
