Hunt Around the Room activities are going to be your students new favorite way to practice their math skills. Print the cards in color or black and white. Laminate the cards before use. When you are ready to practice the skill, you will hang the cards around the room. Try to find places your students won't expect. The students walk around with their recording sheet to answer the task cards found around the room. Once finished, there is an answer key to review the answers with your students.
These cards are also the perfect size to be stored in the 4x6 photo cases. You will need to print the cover, directions page, and answer key at 60 percent in order to fit inside the case with the task cards. I like to combine the recording sheet 2 on a page when copying so it fits easily inside of a math journal.
This was originally created for first, but it can be easily used in other grade levels that need practice comparing numbers to 99 with words.
