Your students will love this game where they choose a camper and follow tracks through the woods to see if they can find Bigfoot! With each slide more tracks are revealed so that your students end up reading a 16 beat pattern, which is extracted from a folk song or art music. There is an extension idea include on how to incorporate musical memory before returning to the camp site
This file includes 5 versions of the game so that it can be different each time your students play it. (There are 5 versions in stick notation without note heads and 5 versions in stick stick notation with note heads)
Rhythm notations used in this file are from:
Dinah
Ding, Dong, Digga Digga Dong
Old Brass Wagon
Paw Paw Patch
Rondo a la Turca by Mozart
