Texas- 8.10A and C
This activity will help kids understand the basic environmental conditions necessary for a hurricane to form. It also exhibits the anatomy of a hurricane and includes the sun's role in ocean convection currents, winds, and energy.
Student handout and key provided. I copied page 2 (The hurricane picture) onto 11x17 place-mat (card stock and laminated) for students to place card sort cards. I used this same picture as the student handout for students to label their own. Students will place cards onto he large place-mat and then copy the information onto their own handout.
** The place-mat and student handout, on my copy are length wise, but the thumbnail shows them as being cut off. If they do not download correctly, let me know, and I will email a copy of the activity to you! :)
