In this document you will find a simple, informational, teacher-made book about things we have to do. Following the book (the book is 9 pages long), there are several worksheets with different questions or activities designed to: review the information from the book, practice making choices, drawing, labeling, describing, expressing opinions/ thoughts, vocabulary work, and sight words work.
The book follows a repetitive sentence structure allowing for beginner level readers to practice reading with one-to-one correspondence, using pictorial cues for comprehension, and develop fluency while also working on sight words recognition (up, it, is, to, go).
This book and worksheets can be used as teaching tools, a literacy/reading/writing center, reviews, assessments, or in any other way you see fit. The absence of distracting graphics and decorations are a purposeful design choice to prevent pulling focus away from the learning and tasks at hand.
