These worksheets were created to help your student draw diagonal lines in various directions. This will help them form letters such as A K M N Q V W X Y and Z, as well as shapes such as the triangle.
I suggest starting with the widest lines first. When they improve with the widest lines, let them progress to the thinner line, and eventually to the thinnest line. Let them take their time and avoid looking for perfection. The goal is to simply teach them to draw lines neatly in different directions.
I created these simple lines to break down parts of the letters first.
A quick tip: You may save on ink and paper by printing the worksheets once and laminate them or put the worksheets in sleeve protectors and use a wet erase marker. Dry erase markers work as well but they may erase as the students work too easily. If you are using a protective sleeve you can two worksheets inside to create a front and back page. Slip a black sheet of construction paper between the two to block the sheets from being seen from either side.
