This lesson plan and corresponding worksheets are designed for a deep analysis of Chapters 18 and 19 of Malala Yousafzai's memoir, I Am Malala - How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World (Young Reader's Edition).
In this lesson, students will dig through the two chapters, annotate the text, and come up with strong, evidence-based conclusions about the tone of these chapters. They will also us embedded definitions to better understand the text and compare and contrast Malala's situation to a similar situation in a different text.
This file comes with a comprehensive lesson plan and worksheets that accompany chapters 18 and 19 of the text. The text itself is not included in this file, however, there are excerpts included for the homework worksheets attached. Chapter 20 is read for homework.
