This lesson plan and corresponding worksheets walk students through the first three chapters of Malala Yousafzai's memoir, I Am Malala - How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World (young Reader's Edition). In this lesson, readers will do a quick review of the difference between fiction and nonfiction books, walk through some of the more difficult vocabulary, and then answer text based questions. They will also be introduced to the text attack strategy of R.A.C.E.
