The "I Am Working For..." classroom management system is ideal for younger students with Autism or behavioral disorders. However, it can help any student stay on track and gives them a positive reinforcer to work for! This resource contains a page with the student desktop reinforcer trackers, a page of smiley face tokens that will earn students their reinforcer, and 38 BoardMaker symbols that are common rewards in my classroom!
In my classroom, we use this system by laminating the desktop tracker and putting one on each student's desk. Aswe go through an activity, students earn smiley face tokens by staying on task, participating, listening well, etc... The paraprofessionals and I dole out the smiley faces so that they get their 5th and last smiley face at the end of the lesson. They then trade in their 5 tokens for the reward they had selected to put on their tracker.
Place one side of the Velcro on the reward BoardMaker symbols and smiley face tokens (all laminated), and the other side of the Velcro on the reward spot and 5 smiley face spaces on the desktop tracker.
