This book is designed for the budding mathematician in KG or Pre-K.
The questions on each page are designed to allow children to see the relation between the next number in the sequence and the addition fact linked to that.
The fonts used have been selected with care to allow children to copy the number without the confusion that can occur between the printed and written versions of the numerals.
There is ample scope for the student to practice writing the numbers on each page while learning the most basic addition facts at the same time.
At the bottom of each page is the list of numbers that the student will be using on that page, so the teacher can just point to that box instead of ‘giving the answer away’, if the student needs help. I have found it useful to have the students read those numbers first, before starting to write the answers on each page.
The number chart included at the end of the book is in the standard ‘Times New Roman’ font so students are still exposed to the standard printed version of the numerals and not just the ‘hand-written’ version on the earlier pages.
