Students with autism and behavior challenges sometimes have difficulty making friends at school. They have difficulty with social communication, social skills, body language, playing games, etc. This is a social story to teach appropriate behaviors to be kind to friends. It describes what it looks like and sounds like to be kind to your friends. It also describes what a bad friend looks like and what happens if you are mean to your friends.
Use this social narrative as a beginning instruction for being kind. Use it to re-teach taught skills and daily reminders of how to be kind to your friends. This social narrative can also be used to model and role-play social skills during group times.
