This 168 page color unit is the perfect introduction to color identification and sorting for your pre-k class! This unit can also be used to review color identification with kindergarten students. Students will participate in several learning activities covering the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black, gray, and white.
This set includes:
*Color of the Week or Day Posters- Laminate pages. Use velcro to display the color that is the focus of the lesson.
*Color Flash Cards- Cut out and laminate cards. Use the cards to introduce or review colors.
*Color Box Labels- Cut out and laminate cards. Tape them to box and fill boxes with items that correspond to each color. Use the items in the boxes for color review and sorting activities.
*Color Charts- These charts can be used to introduce and review each color.
*Color Posters- These posters can be used to introduce and review each color.
*Coloring Sheets- Students will use the correct color crayon or marker to color each page.
*Two Piece Puzzles- Cut out and laminate the puzzle pieces. Students will match colors to complete each puzzle
*Three Piece Puzzles- Cut out and laminate the puzzle pieces. Students will match colors to complete each puzzle.
*Color Match Set 1- Laminate pages. Leave the four squares intact and cut to remove the kid with a crayon. Ask students to match the set of four pictures with the correct kid with a crayon.
*Color Match Set 2- Laminate pages. Cut out each individual picture. Adhere velcro to color pieces and the blank squares next to the kids with crayons. Ask students to stick the pictures on the grid next to the correct kid.
*Color Sorting- Laminate pages. Cut out each color word. Place one color word at the top of each side of the chart. Ask students to sort the cards from Color Match Set 2. Students will place the correct color pictures under the corresponding color.
*Color Matching with Clips- Cut out and laminate pages. Give students clothespins and ask them to place a clothespin over the picture that is the same color as the crayon on the left.
*Color Stomp/Color Match- Cut out and laminate shoes. Tape the shoes to the floor two by two. Say a color and ask students to step on the shoes that match. Alternate activity: give students shoes and ask them to pair them up by color.
*Color Books-Read the books to students to review colors. Ask students to point to the dot under the picture for an early instruction to one to one correspondence.
