According to Jan Richardson, of The Next Step in Guided Reading, there are certain sight words that appear repetitively at each reading level. I have created a program for my class based upon these word lists. In my classroom we call them “Gumball Words” because they are words that need to stick, just like gum. My products are created with these lists in mind. These pages are meant to introduce your students to reading or help those that are struggling with tracking. The repetition of the sentences will build fluency and sight word recognition.
