Directions: Students roll the dice and read the row of phrases aloud to a partner with speed and accuracy.
These charts include ALL 600 of Fry’s Instant Phrases. Once students have begun to master decoding skills, they need to begin working toward fluency, or, “reading like we talk.” Differentiation is built right into this center, as the phrases are in order from least to most difficult (as defined at the bottom of each page).
Students can use this chart independently but a partner will check for
accuracy and be a great cheerleader!
