The curriculum outcomes and I Can statements in this resource are aligned with CCCS and the curriculum in Canadian provinces. Each outcome has been broken down into measurable I Can statements at the Grade 2 level.
Writing I Can statements means much more than simply placing :I Can" in front of the curriculum outcomes. It means deconstructing each outcome to determine what students are expected to be able to do in order to meet the outcome. I have taken the curriculum outcomes apart in this resource according to the manner of Understanding by |Design by Grant Wiggins.
In addition to the tables for four strands of Science there are record keeping sheets for the teacher to aid in planning with dates taught and dates tested. There is also a reproducible sheet to use to check if students have met or not met each outcome.
There are two zipped files in this resource. The first contains the grids in which the I Can statements are listed for each curriculum outcome. The second folder contains 256 task cards on which you will find the individual I Can statements
