1. Print each page with enough copies of each prompt. There are 6 copies of the prompt on each page. Once they are all cut, I place them in baggies to save for future days.

2. Hand out the prompts to your students (or place them somewhere accessible for your students to grab as needed). They will glue them onto the top of the page they are writing on- this helps if they do not finish the prompt that day, they can then go back and finish at a later time without having to struggle to remember what the prompt said.

3. Give them the allotted time to write. Included with this product is a short directions box they can glue onto the inside cover of their journal with reminders on what is expected (including writing for the entire time).

4. There are 50 prompts included, but they do not need to all be used in a daily fashion, or consecutively. (My students are typically given 1-2 per week; 1 during an assigned quiet writing time, and another during their independent work time).

With a little prep and organization, this tool can be used for weeks or months to come with minimal time spent after the initial day of expectations is discussed. Enjoy!
