These books are perfect for the beginning of the year! They are also helpful to support struggling students later in the year!
Not only will they reinforce learning of letter names and sounds, but also provide handwriting practice! At the beginning of the year it is very hard for my students to find “good fit” books, but these work wonderfully to allow for independent and partner practice with reading early in the year.
Included are individual books for each letter of the alphabet containing at least 5 practice pages per letter. Also included is an alphabet book to be assembled with one letter per page (these can be used as beginning dictionaries).
Aligned with common core standards R.F.K1, R.F.K2, and R.F.K3
To use: simply print, staple, and cut! There is no need to collate, making these books great for volunteers to assemble.
I hope your students love these as much as mine do!
