If my students do not have their homework they have to find their sheet in my binder and they have to write down the date, what assignment they don't have, and why they don't have it.
I print out a sheet for each student and put them in alphabetical order in a 1inch binder. In the document there is also a matching cover sheet for the front of your binder! :)
It is very easy to pull out the student's page when you are having a parent-teacher conference. It holds the students accountable and the parents can see each time they did not have their homework and why.
