Teaching geometry can bring a lot of new vocabulary to your students. Here is a great activity to help your students apply knowledge of sides, vertices, edges, faces, and bases.
The order the cards are in when downloaded is the correct order the students will need to follow to finish the activity. (left to right, then own to the next shape on the left)
Once you have cut out and shuffle the cards, pass out one or two cards to each student. Whoever has the word "Start!" at the top reads his/her card first "ex I have a star, who has a plane shape with 3 sides". The student who has the matching card follows the same order, sharing what shape they have and then stating their clue to describe the next shape. The students continue taking turns sharing their cards based on the clues until they reach the last card which says "All Done!"
