This file includes 32 "I Have, Who Has" cards.
To play the game, distribute the cards to students and have them stand in a circle. The person with the first card states "I have the first card. Who has (reads the words in the box)?" The person whose shape's area in their "I have" section corresponds to that states "I have a shape with an area of ______ (cm or in) squared. Who has (reads the words in the box)?" Play continues until the final student reads "I have the last card." after naming their shape's area. For additional practice, students may exchange cards with others who have similar cards, take more than one card, or be timed and attempt to beat their class record.
Each card is color coded so the activity can be accessible to all students. Though each card requires the students to find the area, the multiplication problems come at different levels of difficulty as follows:
Red- easy (generally doubles, 2s, 5s)
Purple- low difficulty (generally 3s, 5s, some 10s, trickier doubles)
Green- medium difficulty (generally 6s, variety of tricker lower numbers)
Blue- hardest (generally 7s, 8s, 9s)
To assemble, just print, cut each card out, and shuffle to play.
