This fun and engaging card game is an extension activity to the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle. I created the game with my Preschool students (3 going on 4) in mind. But it would work just as well for PreK 4-year-olds and Kindergarten students.
It's a great back to school activity. The game will help teach and reinforce color recognition and animal recognition. In the process of playing, it also teaches social interaction skills such as taking turns and listening to the speaker.
I have added extra animals to make this a game for 16 players. There are: brown bear, red bird, yellow duck, blue horse, green frog, purple cat, white dog, black sheep, gold fish, teacher, children, pink pig, white hen, tan horse, spotted cow, and orange rooster. Instructions on how to play the game are also included.
