This card set correlates to the teaching order of SnapWords list A from the mini-lesson handbook. (See my other listings for the other levels, or buy all levels in a discounted bundle.)
Please check out the program if you haven’t already- it has been a total game changer for my kids who have struggled with sight words in the past. They have a complete program, along with books full of fun activities and games to do with individuals and groups, which I highly recommend. My students and I found that I Have, Who Has?, one of their favorite games wasn’t represented in the activity books, and so with permission of Ms. Major, I share this with you, in case your students love it, too.

How to Use this Card Set
The dots on each of these cards coordinates with the Snap Words level colors on the card boxes. You can print them on white card stock so the color dot will be easy to see. I prefer to print all the cards from the same level on that color cardstock, to make the levels faster to separate if they should become mixed. Cut out each card, and then laminate for longevity. I usually use it just after we have worked with a new word list for a couple of days, and then again as a review before assessing a list. Kids like to choose this game periodically as a review, as well.
How to Play
First, decide which level or levels of cards you will be using, depending on your purpose. Pass them out equally among all players. I have students lay the cards face-up on the table in front of them so we can help each other if needed. (The kids and I like to time ourselves on the first game, then predict how much faster they can do it in a subsequent round. Or, sometimes we set a time goal before playing.) I have made these sets so that any card can be the first card, so choose a player to pick a card to read aloud. They read the word they have and then ask who has the next word. I have students turn over their card once they have read it aloud to narrow their choices as the game goes on. Play continues in this way until all cards have been played. Sometimes for fun we will read in silly voices, etc.
